About the creator of NSCS Pro . . .

Boyd Norton published his first photographs - in Audubon magazine - in 1965 while still working as a nuclear physicist. (He once blew up a nuclear reactor deliberately, but that's another story.)

A full time photographer and writer since 1970, he is the author/photographer of 14 highly acclaimed books. (Among the most recent: Safari Journal, The Art of Outdoor Photography, Baikal: Sacred Sea of Siberia, The African Elephant, The Mountain Gorilla, Backroads of Colorado, and Boyd Norton's PhotoJournal.) His work has appeared in almost all major magazines in this country and abroad. He runs his own stock photo business with a file of nearly 400,000 pictures from locales worldwide. He also conducts photography workshops in such places as Alaska, Siberia, Borneo, Bali, Kenya, Tanzania, Peru, Galapagos, and Antarctica.

Boyd is a long-time member of ASMP and a charter member of NANPA (the North American Nature Photographers Association).

His guiding philosophy in developing NSCS Pro? "I hate to brag, but I'm the world's biggest procrastinator. When it comes to managing our own stock files, I'm a lazy slob. I'd rather be out shooting. So I designed NSCS Pro for me! If it makes me more productive, it'll certainly work for anyone."
